WEEKLY TOP NEWS – Liberia Decides 2023, Matters Arising
Liberia’s Presidential election is on the 10th of October 2023 and campaigns have since commenced, with the different political parties involved hoping to win in the first round.
However, not with some accusations and counter-accusations among political actors.
More worrying is the threat by political heavyweight Prince Johnson, who categorically warned of an Arab spring-type uprising if the election results were tampered with.
This has been a talking point across Liberia and the sub-region.
Mr. Johnson is a strong opposition to the current president, and his words have sparked fear and anxiety among citizens.
