International Women’s Day is celebrated every 8th of March. This year West Africa Democracy Radio 94.9FM Dakar is partnering with the World Food Programme to celebrate women and girls who are championing efforts for a more inclusive society through a panel session.

The 2023 International Women’s Day theme calls to reflect on women and other marginalized groups’ access to creative solutions and innovations and technologies as a way to promote gender equality.

Our panelists are Awa CABA, co-founder and CEO of SOORETUL, a digital start-up that enables women in agriculture to access the market and sell their products and Yaye Ramatoulaye Dieye, the World Food Programme regional gender advisor in West Africa.
