The West African Civic Space Resource Centre WACSI has commenced a three-day workshop in Dakar – the Senegal capital to help civil society organizations protect civic space.
The workshop aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to influence state policies and resist restrictions.
The educational event brought together five civil society organizations to discuss the various issues related to the civic space in Senegal.
The participants are expected to gain a deep understanding of the civic space as well as the human rights and legal perspectives.
Omolara Balogun, head of the Policy Influencing and Advocacy Unit at WASCI, tells WADR more about the objectives of the workshop.
