Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza on Thursday called on the Government of Cape Verde to protect the life of Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab, who was detained in that country in June.

 On his Twitter account, the foreign minister said that his government remains concerned about the safety and physical integrity of Alex Saab, who was detained illegally and arbitrarily in Cape Verde.
