The Universities of Ghana Senior Staff Association has served notice of plans to resume its strike on January 21, 2021, to demand the payment of its outstanding Tier-2 contributions of its retired members.

The association is also fighting for an improved Market Premium and non-basic allowance as well as the Migration of Public Universities onto the Controller and Accountant General Payroll system.

Already, students in various universities nationwide are bearing the brunt of a strike by Members of the Teachers and Educational Workers' Union which enters day 3 today.
