The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has condemned the detention of Beninese opponent Rékya Madougou, sentenced to twenty years in prison in December 2021 for "financing terrorism", calling for her release.
In a report on its session held between 29 August and 2 September 2022, the Working Group considers the detention of Rékya Madougou to be "arbitrary".
