The United Nations Refugee agency UNHCR and International organization for migration in a joint report Wednesday confirmed the death of dozens of migrants off the coast of Libya.
According to the agencies, 43 migrants were killed in a shipwreck due to bad weather early hours of Tuesday.
The report says, this is the first of such incident since this year in the central Mediterranean.
IOM reports that 10 survivors – mainly from Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana and The Gambia – were brought back to land by Libyan authorities.
