The United Methodist Human Rights Monitor in Liberia has described the deteriorating conditions at the various prison facilities across Liberia as a violation of human rights.

The monitor’s Program Director, Jefferson Knight, noted that most of the prisons facilities across the country are overcrowded, noting that inmates are fed once a day with poorly prepared food and most of them are very unhealthy
