Brits arriving from Togo will no longer need to undergo a quarantine protocol effective Wednesday. This was announced by the United Kingdom, which classified Togo among the countries at low risk of contamination with Covid-19.
The latest announcement means that travelers from Togo will simply have to present a negative PCR test and respect a period of home isolation of 10 days.
Others who have left countries at high risk of contamination will have to be quarantined for 10 days, at government facilities at their own expense.
Analysts say the new provision by the British Crown validates the measures adopted by the Togolese authorities since the start of the pandemic.
Recall that the Togolese government recently launched the inoculation campaign for the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine throughout the country. The number of vaccinated persons is now estimated at more than 276,000 people, according to official figures.
