In East Africa, tensions are mounting in Uganda as the presidential candidate of the National Unity Platform NUP party, Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine was arrested during a campaign trail.
Kyagulanyi, was on Wednesday arrested by the police at Luuka district where he was scheduled to address his supporters ahead of the 2021 general elections.
According to reports, Bobi wine’s arrest follows a scuffle between the security operatives and he (Bobi wine’s) supporters.
