Two Malian soldiers, held captive by the JNIM terrorist group led by Iyad Ag Ghaly, are appealing to the transitional authorities for their release.

A video released on Monday by JNIM showcased the two Malian soldiers who were captured during the Kwala attack in Koulikoro, the southern region of the country.

The armed group asserts that approximately thirty Malian soldiers were killed in the said attack.

As Imoh Edet reports, the Malian military command has not yet provided any details regarding the casualties.
