Two jailed by Liberia parliament for assaulting MP

Members of the House of Representatives in Liberia have caused the imprisonment of two individuals on contempt charges after they reportedly assaulted a lawmaker in the Parliament.

Makanvee Sherriff and Mohammed Sheriff were found guilty by the lawmakers of violating Article 44 of the Liberian Constitution that gives the lawmakers the contempt power.
