Togo reviews its maritime commercial laws, aiming to improve trade volume

Togo’s maritime sector says it has reviewed a law governing the operations of the Lome port.

This particular revision which targets the exemption periods for containers destined for Niger aims to improve the volume of trade and adapt competition standards.

Announcing the initiative, Togolese Minister of Blue Economy Edem Kokou Tengue, explains that the new provision takes effect on June 1, 2024.
