Opposition leader Tidjane Thiam has condemned President Alassane Ouattara’s fourth-term bid, calling it unconstitutional.
Speaking to supporters, Thiam accused the government of violating the two-term limit set by the Constitution. The opposition continues to dispute Ouattara’s controversial third-term re-election in 2020.
Thiam urged citizens to mobilize and vote in the October 25, 2025, presidential election, emphasizing the need for change.
To qualify for the race, Thiam renounced his French nationality on February 7, 2025, reaffirming his commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s future.
