The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in its latest report indicates thousands of people in West Africa die every year due to the consumption of falsified and substandard antimalarial and antibiotic drugs.
The Representative for the UNODC’s regional office for West and Central Africa, Amado Philip De Andrès, says the UNODC and its state partners have produced several reports that analyze the threats of criminal activity in the Sahel region.
