The opposition political party in The Gambia, the United Democratic Party (UDP), has submitted its nominations for the upcoming mayoral election scheduled in May.
The UDP aims to retain the only two mayoral seats in the capital city Banjul and the Kanifing Municipality.
In addition to the mayoral seats, the UDP has also filed nominations for five candidates in the chairmanship election.
