The Gambia will hold a by-election for the parliamentary seat in the Niami East Constituency, North of the country on Saturday.
The seat became vacant after its occupant Demba Sowe of Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) died in January after a brief illness.
The seat will be contested between Gambia Democratic Congress and President Adama Barrow's National People's Party which is contesting in an election for the first time.
