A bill seeking more seats for women in the National Assembly of the Gambia has been dumped at the second reading on Monday.
The bill failed to proceed to the third and final reading as members did not meet the threshold for voting.
The Speaker of the National Assembly ruled that the bill was negative as the members of the parliament failed to show up during voting.
