The Democratic Party of Senegal (PDS) continues its opposition to holding the presidential election without its candidate, Karim Wade.
During a press briefing held yesterday in Dakar, the opposition party accused Prime Minister Amadou Bâ, the candidate of the ruling Benno Bokk Yaakaar coalition, of allegedly influencing judges of the Constitutional Council to exclude their candidate.
Earlier this week, the PDS submitted a petition to the Supreme Court, seeking to invalidate the decree governing the scheduling of the presidential election on March 24th.
