Participants at a conference in Abuja – Nigeria’s capital have identified unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy as key factors that expose young Africans to terrorist recruitment.

The gathering organized by the African Peace Institute and in conjunction with the UN Office on Genocide Prevention, brought together experts, including researchers and academics to exchange ideas and offer recommendations to African governments.
