Amilcar Lopes da Costa Cabral was a Bissau-Guinean and Cape Verdean agricultural engineer, pan-Africanist, intellectual, poet, theoretician, revolutionary, political organizer, nationalist and diplomat.
He was deeply influenced by Marxism, becoming an inspiration to revolutionary socialists and national independence movements worldwide.
