Since everyone is modeled in a different personality form and traits, self-discovery thus becomes a key observation needed for us to blend in society.
One way through which we can chart that path is what psychologists and human behavior observers call temperaments. Through temperaments, we can categorize people based on the clear signs they depict in their mental, social, physical, and interactional abilities.
In simple terms, this temperament refers to the personality types that one is born with or prone to.
Traditionally temperaments are grouped into four types,
According to (Buckingham, 2002), the four temperaments described individuals as sanguine (optimistic, social, and associated with the element of air), melancholic (analytical, quiet, earth), choleric (short-tempered, irritable, fire), and phlegmatic (relaxed, peaceful, water)
But are these temperaments shaped by our life experiences or they are natural? How can we categorize them and how do we know which of them are dominant in our actions and inactions?
