In Nigeria, gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have launched an attack in the South-South region of Delta State, killing one and razing several trucks.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ari Mohammed Ali, confirmed the incident on Wednesday evening.
Mr Mohammed said the incident recorded heavy shooting along the axis, forcing motorists and other road users plying the highway to scamper in different directions.
