Reporters Without Borders (RSF) says Gambia's two decades of terror and suppression of press freedom still exist despite improving in the 2021 World Press Freedom Index ranking.

The Gambia made slight improvements from the 2020 report, but gaps still remain in press freedom, the report indicates.
