Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has declared the recent disturbances in the country as an attempted coup.
Recall that on the 26th of November, armed men attempted to break into an armory at a military base near the president’s home, then attacked two of the city’s main prisons, releasing some of the inmates.
The President has given the firm assurance that the persons behind the skirmishes will be brought to book.
