In 2023, Sierra Leone made a significant debt service payment of $10.97 million to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

This payment facilitated a reduction in the country’s Disbursed Outstanding Debt (DOD) from the IMF, which decreased from $490.97 million in 2022 to $480 million in 2023.
