Sierra Leone opens first new air terminal since independence

The Sierra Leonean government Monday commissioned the nation’s first new international airport terminal since independence in 1961.

The 270 million-dollar facility according to President Julius Maada Bio will handle a million passengers annually.

The new terminal is three times the size of the existing terminal while the passenger capacity is five times the current maximum.
