Before the de-amalgamation of Chiefdoms in 2015, Siera Leone's Koinadugu District in the Northern Province was the country’s largest district in geographical area, but with the least dense population.
Both Koinadugu and Falaba districts are nicked named the land of powerful mixture particularly due to their agricultural abundance and ethnic diversity. But studies have shown that indigenous children hardly reach their educational potential.
This report by WADR’s Patrick Sallia in Freetown, highlights how the ongoing school feeding program in those districts is helping school enrollment and retention.
