Attempts to calm tension since the postponement of the elections by President Macky Sall are bearing fruits.
On February 15, several political prisoners were released by the state as a result of a closed-door meeting between the Senegalese Leader, opposition politicians and civil society actors.
It should be noted that those freed were only granted provisional release after they were charged with criminal association in relation to a terrorist enterprise and call to insurrection.
