President Macky Sall has received the final report from the national dialogue, which he officially initiated on May 31, 2023.
The report was presented during a ceremony held at the State House and attended by key participants involved in the dialogue.
One notable outcome highlighted in the report is the reduction to a range between 0.6% and 0.8% of required signatures for presidential candidacy sponsorship which was previously set at 1% of registered voters.
As a reminder, opposition political parties, including Pastef led by opponent Ousmane Sonko, as well as civil society organizations, boycotted the dialogue
While President Sall assures to address the nation after the Muslim feast, Tabaski, there are already debates and projections about the outcome.
