Senegal’s President Macky Sall Wednesday led the national dialogue to discuss some concerns raised by political parties and civil society organizations.
These issues centred on the current political climate and the increasing cost of living, among others.
The opposition political coalition Yewwi Askan Wii was divided over this dialogue that had Khalifa Sall, the former mayor of Dakar grace the occasion.
The Senegalese head of state promised peace and credible elections in 2024 – an assurance short of what the opposition had expected.
Abdullahi Hassan completes the story.
