Members of Parliament in Senegal are due to meet at the National Assembly this morning at 10 am Dakar time to vote under an urgent procedure to ratify the conclusions of the national dialogue.
The vote if successful, means that the eligibility of Karim Wade and Khalifa Sall could begin to take shape this Monday, with the vote on the amnesty bill.
The MPs have been convened for a plenary session.
Other bills to be considered are one to revise the Constitution and the second to amend the 1965 Code of Criminal Procedure.
As Maty Sy reports, on the agenda is also a proposed amendment of the electoral code to incorporate the twelve points agreed upon following the national dialogue.
