Senegal’s unemployment rate has risen to 20.3% in the third quarter of 2024, compared to 19.5% during the same period in 2023.

This data comes from the National Employment Survey in Senegal (ENES) conducted by the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD).

The findings highlight a growing challenge in the country’s labor market, prompting calls for renewed efforts to create sustainable employment opportunities.
