Senegal’s former President Macky Sall may soon face charges of high treason after Guy Marius Sagna, a member of the Pastef parliamentary group, proposed a resolution in parliament on Tuesday.

Sagna cites irregularities in the management of public finances, referencing a report from the Court of Auditors that uncovered a hidden debt of over 4 trillion CFA francs under Sall’s administration.
