Authorities in Senegal Wednesday issued a public restriction notice following the death of at least 750 pelicans in a major bird park.
Although the deaths are questionable, authorities have ruled out the possibility of a bird flu infection after thorough investigations.
The Ministry of environment said a patrol team in the Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary on January 23, found 740 juvenile and 10 adult pelicans dead.
