Tuesday marked the second day of sponsor verification by the Constitutional Council in Senegal, in preparation for the February 2024 elections.
Out of the twenty summoned candidates, only 17 were in attendance.
During the initial round, one candidate successfully validated their sponsorships, but three others must fulfill the requirements to have a chance at participating in the upcoming presidential election.
As Tofik Abdul Nasir reports, a total of 12 candidacies remain unvalidated.
