Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger have signed a security deal on Saturday to synergize and build a military alliance against any rebellion or external aggression.
According to the charter establishing the Alliance for Sahelian States, the cooperation will help the countries to contain an insurgency linked to al Qaeda and Islamic State IS particularly on their shared borders.
