The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has issued a plea to Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu to investigate the reported disappearance of $15 billion and N200 billion in oil revenues, as disclosed by Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
Kolawole Oluwadare, the Deputy Director of the organization, implored President Tinubu to establish a presidential inquiry panel.
This panel’s mission would be to identify and publicly condemn those responsible for this embezzlement, pursue legal actions against them, and strive to recover the stolen funds.
