Police in Nigeria have successfully rescued 58 kidnap victims from the Udulu Forest in the Gegu Local Government Area.

The forest shares a border with the Sardauna Forest in Nasarawa State, as well as other known kidnappers’ hideouts in communities contiguous to the Federal Capital Territory. According to reports from the FCT Police Command, the kidnappers engaged the police team in a shootout upon sighting them.

However, the security operatives were able to coordinate a successful operation and free the captives.
