Ghana’s opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other minority parties are hitting the streets today to protest the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.
The protest, described as a defense of constitutional integrity, brings together parties like the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), National Democratic Party (NDP), and People’s National Party (PNP).
Organizers accuse the ruling government of interfering with judicial independence and undermining democratic institutions.
They are calling for the immediate reinstatement of the Chief Justice and greater respect for the rule of law.
