The M62 group in Niger has lodged a request with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prosecute former President Mahamadou Issoufou before the International Criminal Court ICC for crimes against humanity, advocating and importing terrorism into Niger, and imprisonment in violation of international law.

For the moment, there has been no reaction from the camp of the former President.

However, some observers believe that the request is unlikely to succeed.
