The Nigerien government on Thursday held a meeting with various stakeholders to discuss a program aimed at enhancing security and enabling state services to protect vulnerable communities.
The meeting, which was chaired by the Nigerien Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hassoumi Massaoudou, took place in Niamey. The program is a collaborative effort between the state and the European Union, and it aims to support the restoration of security and stability in the country through a multi-sectoral approach.
The second phase of the program is focused on the regions of Tillabéry and Tahoua, which are most affected by terrorist threats with numerous social and economic challenges.
