Nigerien authorities have announced the discovery of an “arms cache” attributed to France.

This follows searches carried out on February 19 and 20, by the Nigerien gendarmerie and police in two houses that were occupied by French soldiers.

Relations between Niamey and Paris have deteriorated since the coup on July 26 against ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
