The Nigerian Military High Command has rejected statements and comments in some sections of the media, suggesting that the current political leadership should hand over power to the military for the purpose of restructuring the country.
In a statement signed by the acting director defence information, brigadier general Onyema Nwachukwu, the military dissociated itself from what it described as an anti-democratic utterance and position.
