The Nigerian government has pledged to intensify its efforts to rescue children from the streets and provide them with proper care.

Sadiya Faruk, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, gave this assurance as Nigeria joined other nations in observing the 2023 International Day for Street Children.

She retreated that, the government is committed to ensuring that all children in Nigeria have access to basic amenities and education and that their fundamental human rights are respected.
