The Nigerian government has called on the striking aviation workers to suspend their action and immediately resume work.
On day one of the warning strikes, the government assured the workers the requested adjustment of the minimum wage would be paid soon.
In a statement on Monday, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Aviation, Oluseyi Odutayo, expressed the ministry’s displeasure at the industrial action embarked on by the workers.
Odutayo said the ministry had made efforts to address their demands.
