The Federal government of Nigeria warns that thirty-one of the thirty-six states of the country fall within the high flood-risk areas.
This means that a total of 148 local government areas face an imminent flood disaster as the rainy season begins this month.
Millions of people must remain on high alert and prepare for any eventuality.
