Organized Labour in Nigeria has suspended the nationwide strike that began on Tuesday, to protest the brutalization of the Labour Congress (NLC) president, Joe Ajaero, in Owerri, the Imo state capital, South East Nigeria, two weeks ago.
The decision to suspend the strike was reached at an emergency virtual joint National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the NLC and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
