No fewer than one hundred bandits were killed during air operations carried out by the Nigerian Air Force, according to anonymous officers and residents.
The military offensive carried out on Tuesday was confirmed by Air Force spokesperson Commodore Edward Gabkwet but gave no details as the number of terrorists neutralized was unconfirmed.
The northwestern region of Nigeria plagued by armed men locally known as bandits was the target area.
