The Borno Model, a comprehensive approach to addressing humanitarian crises developed in Borno State, North Eastern Nigeria, prioritizes community engagement and participation, integrating humanitarian and development responses, and strengthening local governance and institutions.
The Model also emphasizes empowering local communities to take ownership of their recovery and addressing the root causes of instability and conflict.
